WPC Dedicated Switch Tester
This is a small board that plugs into J205 on WPC MPUs and is used for testing the direct switches that complete to ground to activate (ie. coin door switches). This board allows you to test the direct switch circuitry on the MPU easily at the bench or inside a machine without having to use alligator clips or run back and forth to the coin door.
Useful when attempting to track down issues with battery damage that is hidden from view or to isolate the cause of issues with dedicated switch circuitry to either the MPU or wire harness / physical coin door switches. Also useful when simulating games or testing MPUs at the bench. Allows you to activate left coin, center coin, right coin, 4th coin and the services switches. There's 2x headers on the board to allow for some versatility in connecting (thinking board-to-board Molex and then a 2.54mm header for an optional wire harness).

Usage of the WPC Dedicated Switch Tester
To use you just plug the board directly into the J205 header on the WPC MPU at the bench. If used in-game it's recommended to utilize a wire harness when testing (see below). In addition to this (if using in-game) the coin door must be opened for the dedicated switches to function due to the memory protect circuit. After opening the coin door on the machine, you can then activate any of the buttons on the WPC Dedicated Switch Tester to coin up the machine or step through the Service Menu.
For this revision, when the tester is resting on a flat surface and being used with a wire harness, you will need to hold the tester PCB when activating the "L. Coin" button. All other buttons are supported adequately by the stand-offs on the pcb.

|If used inside a machine, it's recommended to either purchase or create a wiring harness to allow the DMD to be placed back into its position in the machine to avoid coming in contact with any high voltages present in the machine (since the J205 connector is at the bottom of the WPC MPU and is somewhat inaccessible with the DMD in-place). **PLEASE CONSIDER PURCHASING OR BUILDING YOUR OWN WIRE HARNESS IF USING THIS BOARD TO TEST IN-GAME** Even if you source your own parts, a wire harness will make it easier to test in-game without having to displace the DMD.

This is for DIY'ers that want to save a few dollars by assembling the tester themselves. DOES NOT INCLUDE A WIRE HARNESS -- but does have the board-to-board Molex connectors to plug directly into the MPU & also the 2.54 KK headers for an optional wire harness.
Option #2: Fully Assembled

This is a fully assembled WPC Dedicated Switch Tester. DOES NOT INCLUDE A WIRE HARNESS -- but does have the board-to-board Molex connectors to plug directly into the MPU & also the 2.54 KK headers for an optional wire harness.
Note: You may want to purchase a wire harness or wire harness kit if you plan to use the tester in-game.

Option #1: Complete Wire Harness DIY Kit
These are the wire harness kits needed to connect the WPC Dedicated Switch Tester to a pinball machine. Includes components necessary to build the wire harness, but you will need to build the wire harness yourself (strip the wire, crimp the Molex terminals, etc). You will need a crimp tool that can crimp 0.1" Molex terminals. Each kit will include 22.5ft (9x 2.5ft strips) of 22awg wire, Molex connectors, Molex keying pins and zip ties.
Option #2: Fully Assembled Wire Harness
Fully assembled wire harness for connecting the WPC Dedicated Switch Tester to a WPC MPU. Ready-to-go. Wire harness is approximately 2.5ft in length. You will save more money by purchasing a wire harness kit or sourcing materials yourself, but if you don't have the tools or desire to build your own wire harnesses then you can instead purchase one already assembled.
